The earliest known flooring is the humble rug, and, believe it or not, an example still exists which dates from 8,000 BC - now that's hard wearing!

Today more and more people are rediscovering the beauty of rugs and the rug is becoming more and more popular. Whether traditional hand knotted, hand-tufted or the modern machine made variety, a rug will enhance any room or hallway. The growing interest in wood, marble and terracotta flooring is creating a new demand for rugs.

Rugs are commonly used at home. We find these lying beneath our settee, in our bedrooms, lounges and hallways, beside the sinks and bath tub.
